Artist Statement
My name is Caryn and one of my passions is handcrafting jewelry. I gain great satisfaction when I individually design one-of-a-kind pieces. Earrings especially, because they are so little, yet can subtly decorate the wearer. Everyone should have that ONE piece of jewelry they just don’t leave the house without. I design jewelry during the time when I feel happy, creative and peaceful. I believe that this transmits through my jewelry pieces. I want my work to have meaning for the wearer. The lampwork glass art beads, that I use in many of my designs, are handcrafted by talented lampwork artists. All of the lampwork has been kiln annealed for a lifetime of durability. I NEVER use mass-produced beads or any poor-quality beads or components. Great care is taken to ensure that each hand made piece is created to become a favorite piece of what is referred to as "wearable art". Each bead is hand picked, by me, and thoughtfully woven into the design that I am making. A special thanks to each of you and for everyone coming to my web site and allowing me to show case my jewelry and my design creations. It truly has been my pleasure. Enjoy!
